Mortgage rates for a Thirty year fixed mortgage climbed 1 basis point from 3.78% to 3.79% on Wednesday, Zillow Mortgage Marketplace announced.

The Thirty year fixed mortgage rate on February 22, 2012, is up 8 basis points from the previous week's average rate of 3.71% and down 9 basis points from the average rate of 3.88% from three months ago.
